Weapons test

On Sunday, we sat up on the forest having our picnic lunch, and chatting about stuff, and came up with the idea of getting Dom to do some weapons tests videos, like the ones in the "Magic of Star Wars"  for the http://www.wychwolf.com site...
Dom is a master of the animation, he uses a janky old webcam, and a copy of MonkeyJam, which is free, and produces some good results...
The idea was to make some real plasticene and junk models, then add the FX in photoshop..
I sketched the Giant Killer Robot, with an eye to putting it together out of some of the robot parts I have in stock (leftovers from Robotwars days), but it ended up looking much he same as our standard giant killer robot...

Everyone's a critic

Over at http://www.hecklr.co.uk you'll find the first page in Dom's new wecomic, which for want of a title has been named "hecklr".

It's a tale of occupied wartime France, giant killer robots and machine guns in a sin city, film noir style.

Not sure when Dom plans to publish the next page, as he's a bit busy at the minute, with another illustration commission, as well as helping on the WychWolf project.

Kuta in the family

So Dom saw the Kuta drawings and wanted me to draw with him... I had a bash at doing a grey Kuta, doing Single Whip from the first movement of Yang style Long Form Tai Chi.
Dom had a go at drawing Kuta as a damaged robot.
