Ninjasaurs

A while back I thought it would a brilliant idea to write a comic about ninja dinosaurs and their eternal struggle with pirate robots... or pirobots...
Having bought the domain and setup a blogger account I then singularly failed to do any more.
Well time has come to have another stab I think, and I started sketching the hero Ninjasaur again last night.

Finally managed to bend manga studio to my will, but it's a hard task.
Managed to get some panels to show, and add some tone.. and was rather impressed by the tone painting...
So this might be the first page of "Ninjasaurs VS Pirobots", which will appear on http://www.ninjasaur.co.uk

Manga Studio pain

Grr, there's little worse in life than non intuitive software, except non intuitive software, and a user guide,that seems to reference an alternative version..
I'm almost punching the screen here, I am determined to make Manga studio bend to my will, as I've seen the incredible things it can do.. but blinkin' flip it's awkward.
Panels, and panel layers... driving me insane.. I guess i should look on the you tubes, there's bound to be a hundred tutorials...

PINWHEEL!

Pinwheel was the elusive search term I needed, and couldn't quite get my brain around..

I wanted a pattern in the background of the Ninjasaur, but couldn't think how to describe it, then I forgot the word "thumbnail"..

Ninjasaur VS Ninja Bunny

Instead of spending my lunchtime getting stuff up to date for the http://www.wychwolf.com, I sat looking in awe at the Ninja Bunny prints I got from Phil Spence at the Webcomix thing on Saturday.

I then managed to cover my desk with DELETER no 3 ink, as I tried in vain to replicate his style.

I ended up with a far too fiddly sketch, but will persevere.
